My name is Kusumsiri Wijayaratna. I was born in Badulla, Sri Lanka. I'm the eldest in my family of two girls and a boy (I'm the boy). My father is no more and mother is a house wife.

My alma mater

School Education
I received my primary education from Uva College, Badulla, Sri Lanka. I was there upto ordinary level. Uva College is a famous boys school in the area. I received my secondary education from Badulla Central College, Sri Lanka and followed mathematics stream for advanced school education.

University Education
I received my first degree B.Sc.(Physical Science) from the faculty of science University of Colombo in 1997. The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka's oldest university, is located in the urban center of Colombo. In year 2000, I received my PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) from the faculty of education University of Colombo and received my M.Sc.(Computer Science) degree from the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) in the year 2006. UCSC is the leading institute in Computer Science and ICT in Sri Lanka.

What I am doing now

I am working as the Network Engineer in Proporta Sri Lanka. The name Proporta is derived from the two words professional and portable. Our company designing & manufacturing award winning gadget and accessories since 1996. All products and services available in proporta.com web site.

Research Interests 

All computer scientist need to engage research through their interest areas to enhance human life style. Otherwise that person will not consider as a computer scientist. I am interest of computer networks, mobile applications and operating systems areas. If you are concern see the Research Interests page.

Gwangju, South Korea - in Nov 2005 for ICT Training Program, organized by the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, South Korea. Visited 16 Sri Lankans two from each district and I represented Uva province. In this training program we covered - Networks, Network configuration, Network Troubleshooting, Korean education system and ICT education.

Delhi, India - in Mar 2007 for Microsoft Peer Coaching Program, organized and sponsored by Microsoft Corporation.
The Peer Coaching Program train teacher leaders to serve as peer coaches for colleagues. As coaches, these teachers will assist their peers in identifying ways that technology can strengthen classroom curriculum and enhance their students' academic achievement. Covered - Hands on creation of curricular projects and evaluation tools, Development of coaching skills and strategies through hands-on activities, ongoing support through the use of a series of powerful on-line tools.
